Badass Tours

The Nes was originally a line of monasteries and convents that was nicknamed Gebed Zonder End (Prayer Without End). There’s still an alley off the Nes with that name. After the property belonging to the Catholic Church was seized by the newly Protestant city, the Nes had many different uses. By the late 1700s, it was already transforming into a street for counterculture entertainment and theaters, which it still is today.
